SM Seaside City Cebu

SM Seaside City Cebu is the crown jewel mall of Cebu City. While Ayala Center and SM City are more centrally located and more established, SM Seaside is newer and absolutely massive (the third largest mall in The Philippines, and the tenth largest mall in the world). The only things holding this mall back are it’s location – which makes it somewhat of a trek to get to as compared to the other malls in the city – and the fact that no hotels or condos yet adjoin or connect to it. Even with these shortcomings however, this mall is easily a favorite as it has ample space for any number of visitors, seemingly unlimited shopping and dining options, and it has several outdoor areas with amazing views of both the mountains and…the sea.

As a result of this mall’s sheer gargantuan size, it also has several movie theaters so there are always plenty of cinematic options. If this mall had lodging connected directly to it, it would score a perfect ten since it has everything life requires (including a grocery store which yes, does sell alcohol), but this might be on the way as there appear to be artist renderings which suggest a significant amount of planned expansion to the complex which will no doubt include some sort of residential and hotel accommodations. Once some of those plans are realized, SM Seaside will easily be the top choice of mall for Cebu City.
